In episode 4 of CRACKING THE COCONUT, we dive into some crazy Filipino expectations, such as no dating till after schooling was accomplished. And it wouldn’t be a Fil-Am story without a little parental toxicity. While these experiences may just be over-protective Filipino parents doing their best to raise kids in America, sometimes these expectations come with detrimental side effects.
